Volunteers are the lifeblood of Our Streets Minneapolis!
Join in with dedicated volunteers who meet regularly to work on various advocacy projects and event planning to work to make our streets for people. Learn more about these opportunities below. All meetings are located in the calendar for reference.
Join the Streets for People Work Group
This volunteer work group is a combination of the Downtown Bikeways and Pedestrian Work Groups. This change enables volunteers to discuss street space holistically and more efficiently advocate for streets that deliver safety, justice, and equity regardless of a person’s identity and lived experience.
Join the Lowry Ave NE Streets for People Work Group
This volunteer work group is creating a vision for a transformed Lowry Ave NE that puts people first, not just cars and we're organizing to make this vision a reality. This online work group will meet via Zoom several times in January, February, March and April. We estimate the total time commitment to this workgroup to be five hours a month.
Open Streets Minneapolis
Join in opening the streets to thousands of people! At each Open Streets Minneapolis event, local businesses, artists, community groups, and institutions come out into the street to play. Volunteer on a street in your own neighborhood, and enjoy your city in a whole new way.
