The communcations group meets monthly to discuss all things related to Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition communications, including (but not limited to) blogging, social media, media outreach and maintaining our website. If you like to write, design promotional materials or have ideas about communications strategies, this is a great way to get invovled.
This month's meeting is 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013, Dunn Bros. (upstairs), 201 3rd Ave S., Minneapolis. We'll be talking about our social media and blog strategy, planning meetings for the rest of the year and brainstorming about easy ways for volunteers to get involved. We'd love to hear from you.

6:40 Discuss idea of Facebook sponsored stories/promoted posts and potential budget
6:50 Discussion on posting calendar(s) on website
7:00 Meeting location/style/frequency for 2013
7:15 Guidelines of when other groups should call for help promoting events (i.e. more outreach effort than a simple blog post and social media mention)
7:30 Identifying simple tasks for volunteers
- Tasks meeting attendees want to take on
- Tasks that might be able to be accomplished by people who don’t want to commit to monthly meetings
7:50 Update on potential big organization-wide issues for 2013 that will might require increased communications support
