Eight awesome things to look for at Open Streets Lake + Minnehaha

Join us this Sunday July 22 for Open Streets Lake + Minnehaha! Open Streets Minneapolis events are free events that temporarily close major thoroughfares to car traffic, opening them up for people walking, biking, rolling, and playing. Check out the Open Streets Lake + Minnehaha Facebook page or the event webpage for more details. Here are the things that I am most excited to see at Open Streets Lake + Minnehaha!

Midtown Zone:

Location: Lake St & 14th Ave S

Check out the Midtown Festival at the Midtown Zone! There will be local music, resource information, and children’s activities. There will also be three food trucks: Woodearth Woodfired Mobile Pizza, Papi Fresco, and Sandy’s Grill & Italian Ice. Check it out if you are part of the Midtown community or if you are just wandering through!

The restaurant features everyone’s favorite: grilled cheese and tomato soup and french fries. All Square is a non-profit that focuses on civil rights and ensuring formerly incarcerated individuals have health, wealth, and social capital. Civil rights and grilled cheese, I can’t think of a better place to dine!

Artisan Market

This year all Open Streets Minneapolis events will feature a artisan market full of awesome Minneapolis artists and businesses selling their products.
