Earth Day 2016
Earth Day was first conceived as a day for environmental policy change and lobbying. The first Earth Day took place in 1970, making this April 22nd the 46th year where people have raised awareness about our environment through peaceful demonstrations and actions.
There are many ways you can get involved during Earth Day!

Please bring these if you have them:

Parks Clean Up: Saturday, April 23rd
Cleanup was initiated in 1995 to draw attention to the water quality improvement needs of Minneapolis' lakes and the effects that individual actions have on urban water quality. Since the inception of the Earth Day cleanup we have removed more than 140,000 pounds of garbage from Minneapolis parks.
