Today more than 150 people came out to celebrate the completion of the Dinkytown Greenway. The final stage--which connects 2nd Street in Downtown to Bridge 9 through a tunnel under the 35W Bridge--still has that fresh trail smell!
With the new tunnel, the Dinkytown Greenway connects the Mill District with Dinkytown, TCF Bank Stadium area of the U of M, and the U of M Transitway. It's a great addition!

Speakers at today's celebration were Mayor Hodges, Commissioner McLaughlin, Council Members Frey and Gordon, Commissioner Vreeland, and Transit for Livable Communities Director Barb Thoman. This final stage took great teamwork from these entities.
