Bicycle Enthusiasts Wanted at the MN Bike Summit on Capitol Hill!

The Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota (BikeMN) invites you to attend the 2012 Minnesota Bike Summit on Capitol Hill on March 5. Bicycle enthusiasts from throughout the state are needed to help Minnesota set the pace for the rest of the nation. Show your support for the authorization of Minnesota’s first state bikeway, creating the first state funded Safe Routes to School grant program in the nation, and passing important bike safety improvements as defined in BikeMN’s 2012 Legislative Agenda. No advocacy experience is necessary to attend.

The event will begin at Christ Lutheran Church (directly across the street from the Capitol building) at 9:30 a.m. Guest speakers will include popular writer and speaker Jay Walljasper and Christine Fruechte, CEO of award-winning ad agency and Bicycle Friendly Business, Colle+McVoy. We will hear from the authors of bicycle-related bills in the rotunda at 2:00 p.m.

Lunch will be provided before the assembly marches to the State Capitol to rally for our cause, meet with legislators, and view industry displays in the rotunda.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

The cost to attend is $10 for members of the BikeMN, $15 for non-members, or $20 at the door on the morning of the event. Register now. Email [email protected] with questions.
