Seven exciting stops at Open Streets UMN + Motley 2019

Join us this Sunday September 8th for Open Streets UMN + Motley! Open Streets Minneapolis events are free events that temporarily close major thoroughfares to car traffic, opening them up for people walking, biking, rolling, and playing. Check out the Open Streets UMN + Motley Facebook page or the event webpage for more details. Here are the things that I am most excited to see at Open Streets UMN + Motley!

Open Feasts is an event series collaboratively hosted by organizations across the MN food system to generate awareness about the issue of wasted food and inspire change in our community. Partners from government, nonprofit, education, and for-profit entities come together to put a spotlight on an issue that touches every part of our food system, from the farm all the way to the waste stream. Along with serving free food, they will provide educational activities and resources related to the issue of wasted food.

The Green Neighbor Challenge is a social media campaign and web-based lookup tool designed to facilitate the mass adoption of clean energy. They will be presenting to UMN startups and doing some user acceptance testing at Open Streets UMN + Motley.
