Announcing Open Streets Minneapolis 2021 reserved dates

Our Streets Minneapolis, in partnership with the City of Minneapolis, is excited to announce the dates reserved for Open Streets Minneapolis events in 2021. These events will only take place if public health officials and our local partners believe it is safe in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

If it is safe to do so, we will host the following Open Streets Minneapolis events in 2021:

  • Franklin | Sunday, July 11
  • East Lake |  Sunday, July 25
  • Northeast | Sunday, August 1
  • West Broadway | Saturday, September 11 (hosted locally by the West Broadway Business and Area Coalition)
  • Nicollet | Sunday, September 19
  • Lyndale | Sunday, October 10
  • Minnehaha | Sunday, October 24

We will announce whether we will host each event eight weeks prior to the reserved date. If we are able to host the event, businesses, organizations, and volunteers will be able to sign up to participate shortly after the announcement.

Given the challenging reality that nobody knows when large public events will return, we will continue doing everything we can to maximize the likelihood Open Streets Minneapolis events can happen without compromising the health of our community.
