Advocacy Skill Share 2: Outreach and Organizing

More_Better_Advocacy_Skillshare.jpg

How do you pitch a campaign to a total stranger? How do you encourage them to take action? What do you say when someone disagrees with you but you really need them on your side? What is a 1:1 and how do you do one? How do you find allies and common ground? What can we do together?

Come share your experience and learn from two local activists: Unny Nambudripod, Executive Director and Co-founder of Compassionate Action for Animals, and Malik Holt, Program Coordinator of the Minnesota Center for Neighborhood Organizing’s (MCNO).

This is the second Advocacy Skill Share in a series hosted by Our Streets MPLS put on by volunteers and for volunteers. At the last skill share, we discussed grasstops advocacy: how to find out who's in charge and how to talk to them. This time, we'll be focusing on grassroots advocacy around community engagement and organizing. Join us!
